December 2025 Entries

Up early as daughter has swim training this morning. I could go back to bed but I doubt I’d go to sleep. A stupid disagreement at work keeps going around in my head as well.

I keep thinking about combining my radio blog with main site. There are a couple of people who have their one site as both radio and other things and I think it works well. However, the identify of my current sites would be lost if I did that plus would I still have to keep the domains as I’ve been using them for email. Of course I could just use the existing site and domain and combine the content. What this content is, I’m not sure but aside from that.

Plus there’s still the nuclear option of getting rid of it all.

We’re back here now on fondoftea.com. I figured micro.blog would be more useful on my “main” domain and this can go back to my hodgepodge affair. Also I might change domain here when fondoftea comes up for renewal. I like it but kinda want a change.

Currently deep in wikis (again). Also remembered I have silverbullet running. Thinking maybe I want some place to write things down…

The nice thing about still having this site setup on my phone with the Apple Shortcuts for git, and the 1Writer shortcuts, is that I can just jump straight back into writing here.

Probably I could find a way to add images somewhat easier - maybe go crazy with some AI agent that does stuff for me - but this site has always been just a text journal so I needn’t change that now.

I like micro.blog but I also like this. Perhaps it would be better as main domain on micro.blog and this back to its original site. This site being for blahing and the main site for pictures of radio hill climbs and 3D prints and links to interesting stuff online and maybe one day real blog posts about something.

This site still exists. I wonder if I can freshen it up a bit and then start posting again. It has all sorts of little projects behind the scenes, like converting to DayOne and Tiddlywiki plus the stats page and some other pages I made but never finished or made a menu for. As much as I like micro.blog, I’m not sure it’s the right place for this site.

I’m thinking that I should put my main domain on micro.blog and use it for whatever - given I don’t use the current site whatsoever, then this one can be my journal style site where I don’t really worry or care about what goes on it or how it sounds. It really just is a personal journal that I put on the web as in some roundabout fashion that makes me feel accountable to actually write in it. This is good, as I like writing about whatever in it and if something makes me do it then I’m all for it.

I’d like to have a few interesting pages on here, like books I’ve read or something but I should really add a menu (I said that already). The CSS is a bit janky and maybe needs sorting out such that a menu exists. Given ChatGPT and friends have appeared since I made this site, perhaps they can solve it for me in 2 seconds. In fact I’m writing this in VS Code, and there’s a AI agent right next to this box which probably can do it.

In fact I could just flip the DNS and that’s all I’d have to do, given I’ve not written anything on my main site.

I do have my radio blog, where I was diligently documenting my radio hill walks but after I started doing so many, I fell behind and it was hard to catch up. I also write them up on the SOTA forums and that’s probably a better place for them, although I could just copy and paste the content across.
